MACHINING

  • CNC turning

CNC machining is a method of machining ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and acid-resistant steel. It consists in the removal of excess material from the outer or inner surface of a component, with an intention to give it a specific shape, most frequently spherical, conical, or cylindrical. The machining is carried out on computer-controlled CNC lathes. The machine puts the element in rotation (horizontally or vertically), and the knives cut off its surface layer. All the necessary parameters of the operation are entered in the software that controls the operation of the machine.
CNC machining allows to produce products precisely in compliance with the technical specifications and with accurate dimensions. It secures repeatability of elements. It allows to safely turn machine elements with complicated geometries. Furthermore, it automates production processes and boosts their efficiency, thanks to which we are able to offer short lead times and affordable prices of this service. We use this method in medium and large batch production.

  • Drilling

Drilling is a type of machining performed by means of a drill, resulting in a hole made in a full element. It is carried out on stationary drilling machines, lathes, or by means of portable manual drillers. The holes made this way can have different sizes – their diameter can oscillate between 1 and 13 mm. When drilling metal, drills with increased durability are used, made of high speed steel, cobalt enriched steel, and carbides.

In order to secure the top quality of holes, we adjust the rotational speed and feed to the diameter of the tool and the type of the material we process. If the operating conditions are difficult, we drill in the presence of a coolant, which reduces temperature in the machining area and makes sure chips are evacuated more effectively. The application of the coolant also allows to obtain holes much more precise in terms of shape and dimensions, with less roughness of the inner surface.

  • Threading

Threading consists in making notches inside holes or outside rods by means of machining or plastic working. The process can be carried out manually with the application of beam dies, taps, or tapping machines, or mechanically using lathes, milling machines, or special thread grinders. As for plastic working, it comprises rolling and embossing on mills.

There are different types of threads, e.g. left and right (depending on the direction of notches), inch and metric (depending on the unit adopted), regular, fine and coarse (considering the pitch to diameter ratio). Furthermore, there is also a division into triangular, symmetrical and unsymmetrical trapezoidal, tubular, and round threads. We produce all kinds of threads in conformity with technical standards. We guarantee precision and top-class workmanship. We refine the thread surface as much as possible so that the screwdriving runs smoothly and with no difficulty.

  • Machining on CNC centres

We provide this service in cooperation. Machining on CNC centres is a process of shaping elements by means of machining them with tools having specific geometries, the knives of which cut off excess material from items put into rotation. The operation of the machine is controlled by dedicated software with all necessary parameters entered beforehand, which guarantees precise execution, great dimensional accuracy, and short lead times. The treatment process is executed in three stages, which are: designing, design processing along with entering data, and component execution.

CNC centres carry out roughing, medium, fine, and very fine machining, and each process type results in different kinds of finishing of the material surface. The machines offer a wide range of possibilities – they can be used for milling, turning, boring, drilling, reaming, planning, and chiselling, thanks to which we can provide services to companies representing various sectors.
